Hello, I am José Alberto Martí Díaz, a physical therapist with more than 15 years of experience dedicated to improving the quality of life of my patients. My passion is helping people regain their mobility and functionality through personalized rehabilitation programs. Throughout my career, I have worked with various musculoskeletal and neurological conditions, providing accurate assessments, effective treatments, and pain management to achieve optimal recovery. My commitment is to accompany each patient in their rehabilitation process with empathy, professionalism, and dedication.
Experience
I have a career spanning almost two decades in various areas of rehabilitation and physical well-being. Currently, I work as a massage therapist at 180 AMG Therapy (2024 - present), where I specialize in deep tissue and Swedish techniques, achieving high levels of satisfaction in over 100 clients by relieving muscle tension and reducing pain.
Previously, I worked as a physical therapist in Barquisimeto, Venezuela (2018 - 2022), treating patients with chronic fatigue, sports injuries, chronic low back pain, joint replacements, cerebral palsy, and Parkinson's. Before that, I worked at the Frank País García Clinic in Santiago de Cuba (2010 - 2018), providing care to patients in post-surgical rehabilitation, amputees, and stroke survivors.
Between 2007 and 2010, in Táchira, Venezuela, I designed and implemented rehabilitation plans for patients with arthritis and sports injuries, combining strengthening therapies with community support. My experience began at the Hospital Infantil Norte in Santiago de Cuba (2005 - 2007), where I specialized in pediatric physiotherapy, helping children and babies with physical disabilities and developmental delays to improve their mobility and independence.
Throughout my career, I have combined my technical knowledge with an empathetic approach, accompanying my patients in their recovery process to improve their quality of life.
Education
I trained in Rehabilitation and Physiotherapy at the University of Medical Sciences in Santiago de Cuba, where I acquired a solid foundation in the evaluation and treatment of various musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.
In addition, I obtained a certification in Pain Management at the 9th International Congress of Higher Education in Santiago de Cuba, which allowed me to delve deeper into advanced techniques for pain relief and control in my patients.
I also specialized in Pediatric Neurodevelopment and Early Intervention, obtaining certification from the University of Medical Sciences of Santiago de Cuba, which gave me the necessary tools to work with children and babies with developmental disorders and physical disabilities.
Skills
Throughout my career, I have developed a solid background in sports medicine and physical therapy, applying various techniques for injury recovery and prevention. I have knowledge in manual muscle assessment (MMT), which allows me to identify deficiencies and design personalized treatment plans.
I work with a patient-centered approach, collaborating in an interdisciplinary manner with other health professionals to ensure comprehensive rehabilitation. I also specialize in orthopedics, deep tissue massage, and kinesiology, using these tools to improve mobility, reduce pain, and optimize functionality for my patients.
Licenses and Certifications
I am registered as a Certified Physician Assistant in the United States Registry of Health Professionals, which allows me to provide care with high quality standards.
Additionally, I hold a certification in Massage Therapy from New Concept Massage and Beauty School, where I specialized in various therapeutic techniques for pain relief and muscle recovery.
I am also certified in Ozone Therapy in the State of Lara, a complementary technique that I use to improve oxygenation and the general well-being of my patients.
